Our Gyokuro Asahi (engl. "jade dew") is a pleasantly mild green tea. It is grown in the heart of Kagoshima prefecture in southernmost Japan's Kirishima on the island of Kyushu. This delicate and highly sought after tea is a first harvest tea. It is especially rich in nutrients and catechins. Shaded before harvest, this tea leaf presents a high chlorophyll content while tannins and bitter substances are reduced. Therefore, this green tea unfolds a lovely, freshly floral aroma. Visually, our Gyokuro Asahi shows a finely pressed, dark green leaf. In infusion it produces a light, green cup.
* Preparation: 1 teaspoon per cup, 60-70°C hot water, steep ca. 0,5-3 min.
